Anella Herim is a rising singer-songwriter & rapper from Trinity, North Carolina. The 22 year-old Def Jam signee began playing drums at the age of 4 with encouragement from his father. With a knack for production and songwriting, Herim turned to Garageband and started making music with just his iPhone and headphones. Soon after high school, he found himself gigging at local bars and restaurants, which eventually jump-started his career.
During a performance at Boxcar Bar + Arcade in Greensboro, Herim caught the attention of Malik Clark from Definitely Out Grinding Records (D.O.G Records), who signed up Herim for a slot at the No Stress Fest in Winston-Salem. With help from now-manager Clark, the self-produced artist quickly began working alongside DJ E.Sudd and big-time producer D.A. Got That Dope. In the summer of 2022, Herim signed with Def Jam Recordings and has since been toggling pop, country & rap in a relatable, simplistic way.
On his recent release "Season 1: I Love You," Herim puts forth compelling and authentic tracks that feature his unique writing style and melodies, all while oozing personality. The singer dropped three corresponding music videos for the three songs on the project and capture his undeniable talent and presence. You can catch Herim supporting David J on tour this April and can expect to see him at this year's Float Fest in Austin, Texas.
