Bedroom folk and pop artist John-Robert is returning to his roots in his upcoming EP "Garden Snake." The folk project traverses through the musical backgrounds and influences of the artist's Shenandoah Valley upbringing.

After moving to LA at 19 and subsequently signing to Grammy-nominated producer Ricky Reed's label & publishing co Nice Life, John-Robert is eager to share this side of himself. "Garden Snake is a time capsule […] It was like trying to make a Virginia record in LA. I’m really proud of myself for seeing it through. It was character building, and it’s something no one can take away from me.”

The homegrown act has cemented himself as a talented songwriter since his debut single "Adeline" released in 2019, which led to collaborations with artists like Camilla Cabello & Alessia Cara. The past few years have also seen him open for talented performers like Madi Diaz & joe p. As John-Robert's ability to craft stories has evolved, so too has his blend of traditional folk and alternative rock afforded him his own lot of land in the modern pop world.

The first single off the EP "Sweet Child" wonderfully encapsulates all the acoustic melancholy fans can look forward to in his coming-of-age project. His most recent single "Westward Bound" is now available to listen to on all streaming platforms. For those in LA, be sure to catch the Virginia star's EP release show December 8th at Genghis Cohen.

Listeners can look forward to more live shows when John-Robert joins BAILEN on tour across the Pacific Northwest in February 2024. John-Robert has been featured on playlists like Vanguard & more. He's currently unmanaged so reach out to us if you'd like an intro ✨
