Yves Tumor is the stage name of Sean Lee Bowie, an American musician and producer of experimental music born on February 14, 1990, in Miami, Florida, and currently based in Turin, Italy. Known for blending genres such as ambient, art pop, rock, synth-punk, and electronic, Yves Tumor creates a unique, psychedelic, and genre-defying sound. Starting music at age 16 in Knoxville, Tennessee, as a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, Tumor rose to prominence after debuting the project in 2015 with the album When Man Fails You. Subsequent albums like Serpent Music (2016), Safe in the Hands of Love (2018), and Heaven to a Tortured Mind (2020) solidified Yves Tumor’s reputation for innovative experimental music that mingles emotional intensity and sonic abstraction.
