Born Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy in Plantation, Florida, in 1998, XXXTENTACION emerged as one of the most influential and controversial voices of the SoundCloud rap era. Rising from a turbulent upbringing and early legal troubles, he began releasing music on SoundCloud in 2013, quickly building a cult following with his raw, genre-blending style that drew from emo, trap, punk, and lo-fi influences. His breakout single "Look at Me!" catapulted him into the mainstream, leading to the release of his debut album 17 in 2017, which was certified triple-platinum and reached number two on the Billboard 200. XXXTENTACION’s second album, ?, debuted at number one in 2018, with the single "Sad!" posthumously reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning Diamond certification.
