Waterparks is an American rock band formed in 2011 in Houston, Texas, consisting of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Awsten Knight, lead guitarist and backing vocalist Geoff Wigington, and drummer Otto Wood. The band initially included other members but solidified its current lineup by 2012. Known for blending pop punk, alternative rock, and electropop, Waterparks has released five studio albums, including Double Dare (2016), Entertainment (2018), Fandom (2019), Greatest Hits (2021), and Intellectual Property (2023). They gained recognition for energetic performances and catchy yet emotionally charged songs, earning awards such as the 2017 Alternative Press Music Award for Best Breakthrough Artist and the Rock Sound Award for Best International Breakthrough Artist. Managed by Benji and Joel Madden, Waterparks has toured extensively, supporting acts like Sleeping with Sirens and performing at major festivals, establishing themselves as a prominent name in modern alternative rock.
