Trey Songz, born Tremaine Aldon Neverson on November 28, 1984, in Petersburg, Virginia, is an acclaimed American R&B singer, songwriter, rapper, and actor. Discovered by producer Troy Taylor in 2003, he signed with Songbook Entertainment and Atlantic Records, releasing his debut album I Gotta Make It in 2005, which reached number 20 on the Billboard 200. He gained further recognition with his second album Trey Day (2007), featuring the Grammy-nominated single "Can't Help but Wait," and achieved major commercial success with subsequent albums such as Ready (2009), Passion, Pain & Pleasure (2010), and Chapter V (2012), the latter debuting at number one on the Billboard 200. Known for hits like "Say Aah," "Bottoms Up," and "Heart Attack," Trey Songz has sold over 25 million records worldwide and remains a prominent figure in contemporary R&B, with a career spanning over two decades and a reputation for blending smooth vocals with hip-hop influences.
