Train is an American pop rock band formed in San Francisco in 1993. The original lineup included lead vocalist Pat Monahan, guitarists Rob Hotchkiss and Jimmy Stafford, bassist Charlie Colin, and drummer Scott Underwood. Train achieved mainstream success with its 1998 self-titled debut album featuring the hit "Meet Virginia" and gained widespread fame with the 2001 album "Drops of Jupiter," whose title track won two Grammy Awards. Over the years, the band has seen several lineup changes with Pat Monahan as the sole constant member. Their style blends rock and pop with hits like "Hey, Soul Sister" and "Drive By." The current members as of 2025 include Monahan, Taylor Locke, Hector Maldonado, Jerry Becker, and Matt Musty, continuing their dynamic presence in the music scene.
