Tommy Lefroy is an indie rock duo composed of Canadian Tessa Mouzourakis and American Wynter Bethel, known for their evocative storytelling and sharp compositions. Named after Jane Austen's alleged love interest, Thomas Langlois Lefroy, the band challenges traditional literary tropes by embodying strong female leads in their music. Formed in 2018 after the pair bonded over shared artistic frustrations in Nashville, their collaboration flourished during the pandemic as they worked remotely between London and Los Angeles. Their debut EP Flight Risk (2021) gained widespread acclaim, followed by Rivals (2023) and born blue (2024), collectively amassing over 100 million streams. With influences ranging from grunge-pop to poetic existentialism, Tommy Lefroy’s sound combines biting lyrics, dreamlike vocals, and fuzzy guitars to explore themes of love, loss, and modern malaise. The duo has toured extensively, including supporting Niall Horan on his arena tour, and continues to resonate with audiences through their deeply relatable and introspective music.
