The Temper Trap is an Australian indie rock band formed in 2005 in Melbourne, known for their atmospheric sound characterized by pulsating rhythms and melodic guitar work. The band originally consisted of Dougy Mandagi (vocals, guitar), Jonathon Aherne (bass), Toby Dundas (drums), and Lorenzo Sillitto (lead guitar), with Joseph Greer joining later on keyboards and guitar. Their debut album, Conditions (2009), gained international acclaim, especially for the hit single "Sweet Disposition," which featured prominently in the film (500) Days of Summer and helped the band win multiple ARIA Awards. After relocating to London, they released their self-titled second album in 2012, which debuted at number one in Australia. Lorenzo Sillitto left the band in 2013, and the group has continued as a four-piece, releasing further albums and touring globally, supporting major acts like Coldplay and Imagine Dragons. The Temper Trap is celebrated for their emotive vocals, intricate instrumentation, and dynamic live performances
