The Isley Brothers are managed by Icon Entertainment/Isley Brothers Entertainment, released by Legacy Recordings & published by Sony Music Publishing/Warner Chappell Music.
The Isley Brothers are a legendary American musical group that began in Cincinnati, Ohio, in the mid-1950s, initially formed by brothers O'Kelly Jr., Ronald, Vernon, and Rudolph Isley as a gospel quartet. After tragically losing Vernon in a bicycle accident in 1955, the group regrouped in New York City and signed with RCA Records in 1959, releasing their first hit "Shout" that same year. Throughout their remarkable six-decade career, the Isley Brothers evolved through multiple musical genres, including doo-wop, R&B, soul, funk, and rock, becoming one of the most versatile and enduring groups in American music history. They founded their own record label, T-Neck Records, worked briefly with Jimi Hendrix, and had successful periods with Motown and other labels, producing iconic hits like "Twist and Shout," "It's Your Thing," and "That Lady." The group has sold over 18 million units, charted in six different decades, and received numerous accolades, including induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014. Despite personal challenges and lineup changes, the Isley Brothers remain a pivotal force in American popular music.
