The Band Perry is an American country music group formed in 2005, consisting of siblings Kimberly Perry (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Reid Perry (bass, background vocals), and Neil Perry (mandolin, drums, accordion, background vocals). Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, and raised partly in Mobile, Alabama, they started performing together after years of separate musical endeavors, officially uniting as The Band Perry in 2005. They signed with Republic Nashville in 2009 and released their self-titled debut album in 2010, which featured the hit single "If I Die Young," earning Grammy nominations and multiple awards. Their second album, Pioneer (2013), produced additional chart-topping singles such as "Better Dig Two." Over time, the band incorporated pop influences, releasing music independently starting in 2018 before going on hiatus in 2023, after which Kimberly Perry began a solo career returning to her country roots. The Band Perry is known for blending traditional country with rock, gospel, and soul elements, distinctive three-part harmonies, and a modern yet classic country style.
