Silversun Pickups is an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 2000 and consisting of Brian Aubert (vocals, guitar), Nikki Monninger (bass, vocals), Christopher Guanlao (drums), and Joe Lester (keyboards). Emerging from the vibrant Silver Lake music scene, their name references a local liquor store frequented by band members during their early days. Known for their dynamic blend of shoegaze, indie, and alternative rock, Silversun Pickups gained widespread attention with their 2006 debut album Carnavas, which included the hit singles "Lazy Eye" and "Well Thought Out Twinkles".
