Senses Fail is an American rock band formed in Ridgewood, New Jersey, in 2001, known for their evolving sound that spans emo, post-hardcore, and melodic hardcore. Founded by vocalist Buddy Nielsen, drummer Dan Trapp, guitarists Garrett Zablocki and Dave Miller, and bassist James Gill (soon replaced by Mike Glita), the band has undergone numerous lineup changes with Nielsen as the sole consistent member. They gained early attention with their debut EP From the Depths of Dreams (2002) and their first full-length album Let It Enfold You (2004), which featured popular singles like "Buried a Lie." Over the years, Senses Fail has released eight studio albums, including Still Searching (2006) and Life Is Not a Waiting Room (2008), showcasing a progression from emo and pop-punk roots to a more mature, hardcore punk style. The band has toured extensively and remains influential within the post-hardcore scene.
