Saygrace, born Grace Sewell in Brisbane, Australia, is a soulful singer and songwriter best known for her powerful 2015 cover of Lesley Gore’s “You Don’t Own Me,” produced by Quincy Jones and featuring G-Eazy, which topped the Australian charts and gained international acclaim. Coming from a musical family—her grandparents performed with the Bee Gees and her brother Conrad Sewell is also a chart-topping artist—Saygrace began her career at a young age, signing her first publishing deal at 14 and releasing music under the name Grace before rebranding as Saygrace in 2019 to mark a new era of artistic authenticity. Her music blends retro and contemporary R&B with a commanding, soulful voice, and her work often explores themes of self-worth, empowerment, and personal growth, as heard on her EP The Defining Moments of SayGrace: Girlhood, Fuckboys & Situationships.
