Ryan Castro, born Bryan David Castro Sosa on January 14, 1998, in Bello, Antioquia, Colombia, is a rising star in the Latin music scene. He began his musical journey by performing on public buses to support his family, eventually transitioning to bars and clubs. Castro's professional career took off in 2017 with the single "Morena," but it was his 2021 hits "Mujeriego" and "Jordan" that catapulted him to international fame, charting on the Billboard Global 200 and Spotify's Global Top 50.
He has since collaborated with prominent artists like Karol G and Peso Pluma, and his debut album, El Cantante del Ghetto, was released in 2024. Castro has won several awards, including two Premios Heat awards, and has been nominated for multiple Premios Juventud. His music blends traditional Latin rhythms with modern production, making him a leader in the new generation of Colombian reggaeton. In 2025, he signed a global publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music, further solidifying his position in the industry.
