Reyna Roberts is an American country singer-songwriter and pianist, born on August 15, 1997, in Anchorage, Alaska, to U.S. military parents. Known for her powerful debut single "Stompin' Grounds" released in July 2020, Roberts has gained recognition for her appearances on NFL's Monday Night Football and her advocacy for acknowledging the contributions of Black artists to country music. Despite facing the possibility of developmental delays due to being born prematurely, music played a crucial role in her development.
Roberts' family prioritized her musical growth, even storing her piano in a storage unit during tough financial times to ensure she could continue practicing. Her career took a significant leap forward when country artist Mickey Guyton shared a video of Roberts covering Carrie Underwood's "Drinking Alone," which led to further exposure and opportunities, including joining CMT's Next Women in Country 2021 class and touring with Jamey Johnson.
