Hassan Emilio Kabande Laija, better known by his stage name Peso Pluma, is a prominent figure in the regional Mexican music scene, whose career took off in 2020. Born on June 15, 1999, Peso Pluma quickly gained recognition for his guitar skills and songwriting, drawing inspiration from icons like Ariel Camacho and Valentin Elizalde. His early works, including albums Ah y Qué? and Efectos Secundarios, laid the groundwork for his breakthrough.
The release of "El Belicón" in 2022, a collaboration with Raul Vega, marked a significant milestone, achieving 8× Platinum Latin certification by the RIAA. Peso Pluma's influence expanded further with hits like "Ella Baila Sola" with Eslabon Armado, making history on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning him the title of YouTube's most-viewed artist of 2023 with over 8.5 billion views. His third studio album, Génesis, won the Grammy Award for Best Música Mexicana Album (including Tejano) in 2023
