Paul Oakenfold is an English record producer, remixer, and trance DJ widely regarded as a pioneer and one of the first global superstar DJs. Born in 1963, he started as a rare groove DJ and rose to prominence with his innovative blends of electronic and trance music, significantly shaping the dance music scene since the late 1980s. Oakenfold has provided over 100 remixes for major artists like U2, Madonna, Michael Jackson, and The Rolling Stones, and was voted World’s No. 1 DJ twice by DJ Magazine in 1998 and 1999. Known for his groundbreaking radio mixes, club residencies, and prolific production work, he continues to influence electronic music culture worldwide, releasing successful albums such as "Bunkka" and "Shine On" and performing globally.
