Offset, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus on December 14, 1991, in Lawrenceville, Georgia, is an American rapper and songwriter best known as a member of the influential hip-hop trio Migos. Formed in 2008 with his cousins Quavo and Takeoff, Migos gained widespread recognition with their 2013 hit "Versace," which was remixed by Drake, propelling them into the mainstream. The group's unique triplet flow and catchy hooks became a defining characteristic of contemporary hip-hop, particularly with their critically acclaimed albums Culture (2017) and Culture II (2018), both of which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.
In addition to his work with Migos, Offset has pursued a successful solo career. His debut solo album, Father of 4, released in February 2019, received praise for its introspective lyrics and featured collaborations with artists such as J. Cole and Cardi B. His second solo album, Set It Off, released in early 2023, showcased his versatility and included contributions from notable artists like Future and Megan Thee Stallion. Offset's personal life, particularly his marriage to fellow rapper Cardi B, has been a focal point of media attention, marked by public ups and downs but also highlighting their family life with two children together.
