Neck Deep is a Welsh pop punk band formed in 2012 in Wrexham, Wales. The band was founded by lead vocalist Ben Barlow and former lead guitarist Lloyd Roberts after Barlow posted songs online. The early lineup included rhythm guitarist Matt West, drummer Dani Washington, and bassist Fil Thorpe-Evans. They gained early attention with their EPs "Rain in July" and "A History of Bad Decisions," leading to a signing with Hopeless Records in 2013. The band released their debut album "Wishful Thinking" in 2014, which propelled them into the pop punk spotlight. Over the years, the lineup evolved, with Sam Bowden replacing Lloyd Roberts on lead guitar, Seb Barlow (Ben's brother) joining on bass, and Matt Powles on drums. Neck Deep is known for their energetic sound and heartfelt lyrics, with albums including "Life's Not Out to Get You" (2015) and "The Peace and the Panic" (2017). They have won multiple awards, such as Kerrang! Awards for Best British Newcomer and Best Single, and maintain a strong presence in the modern pop punk scene.
