Nala Sinephro is a Caribbean-Belgian experimental jazz musician, composer, and producer based in London. Born in 1996 in Brussels, she is renowned for her ambient jazz compositions that blend meditative sounds, jazz sensibilities, folk, and field recordings. Sinephro's debut album, "Space 1.8," released in 2021 on Warp Records, received widespread critical acclaim and features her playing the pedal harp and modular synthesizers.
Her music practice is deeply rooted in the study of frequency and geometry, guided by the belief that sound moves matter. Sinephro's work has garnered support from notable figures and institutions in the UK jazz scene, including NTS Radio, the London Contemporary Orchestra, and Gilles Peterson.
