Mustard, born Dijon Isaiah McFarlane on June 5, 1990, is an American record producer, DJ, rapper, and music executive from Los Angeles, California. Known professionally as Mustard (formerly DJ Mustard), he is recognized for pioneering the "ratchet music" style, characterized by up-tempo, club-oriented beats with catchy synthesizers and claps. He first gained major attention producing Tyga’s 2011 hit "Rack City" and has since worked with artists like YG, Ty Dolla Sign, Rihanna, and Kendrick Lamar. Mustard has released several albums including 10 Summers (2014) and Perfect Ten (2019), and runs the record label 10 Summers Records which helped launch the career of British singer Ella Mai. Besides producing, Mustard has a presence as a rapper and performer, known for his infectious beats and contributions to mainstream hip-hop and R&B. He has won various awards, including BMI honors and Grammy nominations, and continues to be influential in music production and hip-hop culture.
