Movements is a post-hardcore band from Rancho Santa Margarita, California, formed in January 2015. The band consists of Patrick Miranda (vocals), Ira George (guitar), Spencer York (drums), and Austin Cressey (bass). They gained recognition quickly after signing with Fearless Records following just one local gig, and have since become a notable force in the alternative and emo music scene.
Their music is characterized by emotionally charged lyrics that explore themes of mental health, loss, and personal struggles, with their breakthrough coming through their debut album "Feel Something" and hit songs like "Daylily" which garnered over 43 million Spotify streams. Produced by Will Yip, the band has continued to evolve their sound, most recently with their 2023 album "RUCKUS!" which blends their post-hardcore roots with pop and punk influences, demonstrating their ability to push genre boundaries while maintaining their distinctive emotional storytelling.
