Feighan started the Monster Rally project around 2013, drawing inspiration from vintage sounds and creating a sonic "soundtrack for a vacation you've never taken." The music often blends elements of exotica, instrumental hip-hop, and other eclectic influences, resulting in a paradoxical sound that is both modern and antiquated.
Feighan views the visual artwork he creates for Monster Rally's releases as closely tied to the music, with the two creative processes informing one another. While Monster Rally has an established conceptual framework, Feighan has also explored other musical styles outside of the project's defined aesthetic. Over the past decade, Feighan has steadily built an audience for Monster Rally through consistent output and a unique artistic vision that transports listeners to imaginary tropical locales through his sample-based compositions.
