MK, born Marc Kinchen on August 3, 1972, in Detroit, Michigan, is an acclaimed American DJ, record producer, and remixer who rose to prominence in the early 1990s house music scene with hits like "Always" and "Burning," both topping the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. A pioneer from Detroit's techno roots, he gained further global success in the 2010s with tracks such as "17," "Piece of Me" with Becky Hill, and "Back & Forth" alongside Jonas Blue and Becky Hill, blending deep house grooves with pop sensibilities. In recent years, MK has continued dominating charts with 2025 releases like "Dior" featuring Chrystal, which hit number 1 on the UK Singles Chart, and collaborations including "Rhyme Dust" with Dom Dolla and "Asking" with Sonny Fodera, solidifying his legacy through his Area10 label and sold-out tours worldwide.
