Mette Towley, professionally known as METTE, is a multi-talented artist from Minnesota who emerged from being a professional dancer for Pharrell's dance troupe to a rising musician. Born on May 31, 1991, she first gained recognition through her iconic performance in the N.E.R.D and Rihanna "Lemon" music video and has since expanded her artistic repertoire across dance, acting, and music. In 2023, she released her debut EP METTENARRATIVE, featuring singles like "Mama's Eyes" and "Van Gogh," which showcase her eclectic musical style blending dance, electronic, and pop influences.
Beyond music, she has appeared in films like Hustlers and Barbie, and has been recognized by major media outlets including Vogue, NME, and The Guardian as an emerging cultural icon. In 2024, she continued to build momentum, opening for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in London and receiving a nomination for the Ivor Novello Award for Best Contemporary Song.
