Mau y Ricky are a Venezuelan Latin pop and reggaeton duo formed by brothers Mauricio "Mau" Reglero Rodríguez (born 1993) and Ricardo "Ricky" Reglero Rodríguez (born 1990), sons of singer Ricardo Montaner. They began studying music young, starting in a church band they co-founded, and performed as MR from 2011 before rebranding to Mau y Ricky in 2015, gaining fame through songwriting hits like Karol G's "Pineapple" and their own multi-platinum tracks such as "Desconocidos" with Manuel Turizo and Camilo. Their career includes the debut EP Arte (2017), album Para Aventuras y Curiosidades (2019), and recent projects like the 2024 Hotel Caracas under their own Why Club Records label with Warner Music Latina, blending reggaeton, pop, punk, and banda while earning Grammy nominations.
