Matt Stell is an American country music singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Center Ridge, Arkansas, who gained widespread recognition with his hit single "Prayed for You" and his 2019 EP Everywhere But On. Before pursuing music full-time, Stell was a college basketball player at Drury University and considered a career in medicine, even being accepted into Harvard's Extension School pre-med program, but ultimately chose music after signing a publishing deal in 2014. He began his musical career independently with several albums and later moved to Nashville, where he opened for major country artists like Luke Bryan and Eric Church.
