Matt Stell is an American country music singer-songwriter from Center Ridge, Arkansas. After playing college basketball at Drury University on an athletic scholarship, Stell initially planned to attend Harvard's pre-med program but instead chose to pursue a career in music. He moved to Nashville in 2014 and landed a publishing deal with Wide Open Music, followed by a record deal with Barry Weiss's RECORDS/Sony Music Entertainment.
Stell's breakthrough came in 2019 with his debut single "Prayed For You," which topped the Country Airplay chart and was certified platinum. His follow-up single "Everywhere But On" also hit #1, making him one of only a few debut country artists to achieve back-to-back #1 hits. Known for his unique blend of classic country with modern influences, Stell has released EPs like "Everywhere But On" and "One Of Us," showcasing his songwriting ability drawn from personal experiences.
