Mad Tsai, born Jonathan Tsai on July 13, 2002, is an American singer-songwriter of Taiwanese and Peruvian descent, known for his introspective and genre-blending pop music that explores themes of queerness, self-identity, adolescence, and mental health. Growing up in Huntington Beach, California, he began writing songs at age 13 and gained popularity through TikTok with viral songs like "Boy Bi," which narrates his coming out as bisexual. He is a student at UCLA, double majoring in Music Industry/History and English, balancing academics with his music career. His music combines bedroom pop, alternative, and queer Asian-Latinx perspectives, earning praise for its emotional honesty and representation within the LGBTQ+ community.
