Leona Lewis, born on April 3, 1985, in Islington, London, is a British singer, songwriter, actress, and activist who gained fame after winning the third series of The X Factor in 2006. Her victory led to a record deal with Syco Music and the release of her debut single, "A Moment Like This," which broke records by achieving 50,000 digital downloads within 30 minutes and became the Christmas number one that year. Lewis's debut album, Spirit, released in 2007, was a massive success, selling over 10 million copies worldwide and featuring the international hit "Bleeding Love," which topped charts in more than 30 countries. Over her career, she has released several successful albums, including Echo and Glassheart, and has received numerous awards, including two MOBO Awards and three Grammy nominations. In addition to her music career, Lewis has ventured into acting and has been involved in various charitable causes, particularly animal rights. She continues to be a prominent figure in the music industry, known for her powerful vocals and emotional performances.
