Krept & Konan is a British hip hop duo from London, consisting of Casyo Valentine "Krept" Johnson and Karl Dominic "Konan" Wilson. Known for their innovative blend of hip hop, grime, and trap, the duo first gained significant attention with their 2013 mixtape Young Kingz, which broke records as the highest-charting UK album by an unsigned act. Their debut studio album, The Long Way Home (2015), reached number 2 on the UK Albums Chart, featuring collaborations with artists like Ed Sheeran and Rick Ross.
The album's lead single, "Freak of the Week" featuring Jeremih, became a top 10 hit. Beyond music, Krept & Konan have been involved in numerous projects, including launching their restaurant Crepes & Cones and the Positive Direction foundation, which aims to provide opportunities for young people in their community. They also co-created the BBC Three series The Rap Game UK. Despite facing personal challenges, such as the loss of loved ones and Konan's past legal issues, Krept & Konan have remained influential figures in the UK music scene, using their platform to inspire and uplift others.
