Jim Legxacy, born James Folorunso Ifeanyi Olaloye, is a British singer, rapper, and producer from the London Borough of Lewisham with Nigerian heritage. He began making music at 19 after being inspired by Kanye West's "The Life of Pablo" and has released multiple EPs and mixtapes, including the critically acclaimed 2023 mixtape Homeless Ngga Pop Music* and the 2025 album Black British Music on XL Recordings, his first label release. His music blends rap, lo-fi, emo, Afrobeat, and eclectic samples, standing out for its emotional honesty and genre-fusing style. Legxacy co-wrote the 2023 hit "Sprinter" for Central Cee and Dave, and his lyrics often explore personal struggles including family hardships, loss, and identity within Black British culture. He gained recognition for his vocal versatility and poetic lyricism, positioning himself as a significant new voice in UK music.
