Yasmine Byrne, professionally known as Jazzy or Jazzy Yaz, is an Irish dance-pop singer-songwriter who has quickly risen to prominence in the music scene. Born in 1996 or 1997, she has made significant waves in the industry by becoming the first Irish woman in 14 years to reach No. 1 on Spotify. Her musical journey began with playing violin in a local orchestra, which later evolved into a passion for DJing and music production. Jazzy has achieved notable success with several UK Singles Chart hits, including "Make Me Feel Good" and "Don't Stop Just Yet" with Belters Only, as well as her solo singles "Giving Me" and "Feel It", which have charted at No. 4, No. 84, No. 3, and No. 35 respectively. Her music has been particularly meaningful as a mixed-race artist, providing an outlet for personal expression and overcoming challenges of growing up in a predominantly white community.
