Jack Van Cleaf is a California-born, Nashville-based singer-songwriter known for his poetic, confessional songwriting and a sound that bridges folk, Americana, and indie rock. After graduating from Belmont University, he released his debut album Fruit from the Trees in 2022, a collection praised for its emotional depth and cinematic production, earning acclaim from outlets like Atwood Magazine and inclusion in Spotify’s “Fresh Finds” and “Best of 2022” playlists. Van Cleaf’s breakthrough single “Rattlesnake” has amassed millions of streams and led to collaborations with artists such as Gatlin and Zach Bryan, the latter of whom joined him for a new version of the song recorded at Electric Lady Studios. His sophomore album, JVC, released via Dualtone Records, explores the anxieties and self-discovery of adulthood, blending sparse acoustics with grungier indie textures and featuring contributions from close friends and touring musicians. Van Cleaf has toured nationally with artists like Noah Kahan and Shakey Graves, and continues to captivate audiences with his honest lyricism, dynamic performances, and ever-evolving sound.
