Jack Blocker is a 25-year-old folk singer-songwriter from Dallas, Texas, who gained national recognition as a top finalist on American Idol in 2024. A self-taught guitarist who learned his skills through YouTube videos, Blocker founded the band Rightfield in 2018 with his friend Reed Hoelscher and has been performing original music since 2023. Beyond his musical talents, he is also a graphic designer by profession, having graduated from the University of Arkansas and currently working as a freelance designer in Nashville, Tennessee. During his American Idol journey, Blocker impressed judges and audiences with his unique performances, including a memorable country rendition of Cher's "Believe" that earned him a standing ovation and secured his spot in the top 8 contestants.
