Isaiah Huron (often stylized Isaia Huron) is an alternative R&B singer, songwriter, and producer from Greenville, South Carolina, born in the early 2000s as a pastor's kid immersed in church music—his dad a preacher, mom choir director—where he started rapping at age eight, formed a youth rap group that toured the East Coast, then switched to professional drumming by 14. Relocating to Nashville around 2017-2018, he gigged with country/pop bands until the COVID-19 pandemic pivoted him to front-stage R&B, drawing from gospel roots, biblical themes, and human duality for moody, emotional tracks blending soulful melodies with hip-hop edges on projects like the 2022 Cerulean Tapes, and his 2025 debut album Concubania, which explores love, vengeance, and spirituality akin to David's story. A rebellious Aquarius embracing universal truths over rigid dogma, Huron's confessional style—heard in singles like "I Think So?" and "HOML"—has earned NPR features and praise for bridging faith and raw humanity while touring and defying genre norms.
