Growing up in a musical family, Metts began playing piano at age ten and later transitioned to guitar, developing a distinctive sound influenced by artists like Bon Iver, The Paper Kites, and Novo Amor. After initially working as a software developer, he fully committed to music in 2023, releasing independent tracks like "Nothing to Lose" and "Paper Moon" and signing with BMG for publishing.
