Hudson Freeman is a Brooklyn-based “lofi-folk” singer‑songwriter originally from Texas, whose work combines intimate, DIY Midwestern indie sensibilities with reflective, faith- and identity-focused lyricism. Born to evangelical missionary parents, he began writing songs at 13 after his family moved from suburban Dallas to the Kingdom of Eswatini, eventually self-releasing early projects like A Man, One Day and I Am All the Ages I’ve Ever Been before his 2025 full-length is a folk artist solidified his reputation as a modern folk voice exploring doubt, belonging, and digital-age anxiety. Influenced by artists such as Sufjan Stevens and Bon Iver, Freeman’s recent work—including the viral track “if you know me”—leans into hushed, homespun production and diaristic storytelling that has helped him quickly emerge as one of indie folk’s most compelling new songwriters.
