Highly Suspect is an American rock band formed in 2009 in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, consisting of twin brothers Rich and Ryan Meyer, Johnny Stevens, and Matt Kofos. Initially starting as a cover band, they relocated to Brooklyn, New York, where they recorded their first EP, The Worst Humans, with producer Joel Hamilton. Their debut studio album, Mister Asylum, released in 2015, earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album and featured the hit single "Lydia," which was nominated for Best Rock Song. The band's subsequent albums include The Boy Who Died Wolf (2016), which produced the chart-topping single "My Name Is Human," and MCID (2019), known for its genre-blending sound incorporating elements of hip hop and pop. Their fourth album, The Midnight Demon Club, was released in 2022, followed by their fifth studio album, As Above, So Below, on July 19, 2024. Highly Suspect's music has been characterized by a mix of alternative rock, hard rock, and blues influences, showcasing their evolution as artists while maintaining a dedicated fanbase.
