Half Moon Run is a Montreal-based indie rock band known for their complex arrangements and harmonious vocals. Formed in 2009 by Conner Molander, Dylan Phillips, and Devon Portielje, the group came together through a Craigslist ad and a chance jam session in Montreal's Mile End neighborhood. Initially, they were a trio, but later welcomed Isaac Symonds as a fourth member to enhance their live performances. Their debut album, Dark Eyes, released in 2012, gained critical acclaim and went platinum in Canada. The band's sound blends elements of indie, pop, and folk with intricate harmonies and electronic touches. Over the years, they have released several albums, including Sun Leads Me On (2015), A Blemish in the Great Light (2019), Seasons Of Change (2020), and Inwards and Onwards (2021), with their latest album Salt released in 2023.
