Gryffin, born Daniel Griffith on September 29, 1987, is an American musician, DJ, and music producer known for his melodic blend of electronic music, future bass, and indie influences. Originally from Los Angeles, California, he has a classical music background and studied acoustic engineering at the University of Southern California. Gryffin gained recognition through his melodic and organic remixes of popular songs like Maroon 5's "Animals" and Years & Years' "Desire," before breaking out with his debut single "Heading Home" in 2014. He released his debut album Gravity in 2019, featuring collaborations with artists such as Carly Rae Jepsen and Aloe Blacc, and his innovative live performances often include guitar and piano elements. Gryffin has become a major figure in the electronic dance music scene, headlining worldwide festivals and becoming a resident DJ at Wynn Las Vegas. His recent album Pulse (2024) marked a creative evolution with more club-inspired sounds.
