Born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, James received his first guitar from his grandfather at the age of five, sparking a lifelong passion for music. He moved to Nashville at 18, quickly establishing himself as a talented songwriter, penning hits for notable artists like Kenny Chesney, Chris Young, and Jordan Davis, with the latter's "Next Thing You Know" becoming his first No. 1 hit. With over 650 million streams to his name, James has proven his prowess in the writer's room.
Now, he is stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist with his debut single "Young Man," a deeply personal track dedicated to his late grandfather. Having toured with Old Dominion and set to join Cole Swindell's TWELVE TOUR, Greylan James is poised to make a significant impact on the country music landscape with his blend of traditional and contemporary sounds.
