Gianna Brielle Perez, known professionally as Gigi Perez, is an American singer-songwriter born in February 2000 in Hackensack, New Jersey, and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida. She gained significant attention after her songs "Celene" and "Sometimes (Backwood)" went viral on TikTok, leading to her signing with Interscope Records. In April 2023, she released her debut EP How to Catch a Falling Knife, which features tracks like "Sally" and "The Man." Following her departure from the label, she independently released the single "Sailor Song," which charted on the UK singles chart and the Billboard Hot 100. Known for her emotive lyrics and powerful vocals, Gigi has supported major artists such as Coldplay and Noah Cyrus on tour, establishing herself as a rising star in the alternative music scene.
