Fito Páez, born Rodolfo Páez on March 13, 1963, in Rosario, Argentina, is a renowned Argentine rock musician, singer, composer, pianist, and filmmaker. He is considered one of the most important figures in Argentine and Latin American rock music, with a career spanning over 40 years and a prolific output that includes 28 studio albums. Starting music at a young age, Páez formed his first band at 13 and later became integral to the "Trova Rosarina" movement. His breakthrough came in the 1990s with highly successful albums such as "El amor después del amor" (1992), which remains one of the best-selling Argentine rock albums. Known for blending rock with other genres like jazz, tango, and folklore, Páez has also earned numerous awards including multiple Latin Grammys. Besides music, he has ventured into film directing and writing, maintaining a significant cultural presence in Latin America. His work is characterized by poetic lyrics and a broad musical palette.
