Faye Webster, born June 25, 1997, in Atlanta, Georgia, is an American singer-songwriter known for her unique blend of indie pop, alt-country, R&B, and soft rock. Coming from a musical family—her grandfather was a bluegrass guitarist and her mother a guitarist and fiddle player—Webster began writing songs at age 14 and self-released her debut album Run and Tell at 16. After briefly studying songwriting at Belmont University, she returned to Atlanta to pursue music full-time, signing with Awful Records in 2017 and later with Secretly Canadian. Her critically acclaimed albums, including Atlanta Millionaires Club (2019), I Know I'm Funny Haha (2021), and Underdressed at the Symphony (2024), showcase her intimate songwriting and genre-blending sound that reflects Atlanta’s rich musical culture. Besides music, Webster is also a noted photographer, having captured portraits of prominent Atlanta rappers like Lil Yachty, with whom she has collaborated. Her song "Better Distractions" was notably selected by former President Barack Obama as one of his favorite songs of 2020.
