Eric Reprid, born Shi Yi Liu on November 21, 1998, in Vancouver, British Columbia, is a Chinese-Canadian independent rapper, singer, and songwriter recognized for his authentic storytelling and versatile hip-hop sound. He began his music career after dropping out of college in 2016, collaborating closely with producer Marc Wavy, and quickly made a name for himself in the underground scene with tracks like "By My Side" and his debut album Who Cares (2018). Reprid's breakthrough came with the 2020 single "Cold World," which amassed over 55 million Spotify streams and earned a Juno Award nomination for Rap Recording of the Year, making him the only independent artist nominated in that category at the time. Known for blending vulnerability with boldness, his lyrics often explore self-discovery, relationships, and ambition, resonating with a global audience and building a strong online following. His discography includes several albums—such as Bloom (2020), 3TERNITY (2022), Riddy's Revenge (2023), and Fuck You (2024)—and viral singles like "Suki" and "WTF," which have gained traction on platforms like TikTok.
