Dropout Kings is an American nu metal band from Phoenix, Arizona, formed in 2016. The band is known for its unique fusion of hip-hop lyricism with heavy metal instrumentation, often referred to as "trap metal." The current lineup includes Adam Ramey (lead vocals), Eddie Wellz (rap vocals), Rob Sebastian (guitar), and Joe Lana Jr. (drums). They have released two studio albums, Audiodope (2018) and Riot Music (2023), as well as an EP titled GlitchGang (2020).
The band gained early recognition with their debut album, which received positive reviews for its refreshing blend of genres. Over the years, Dropout Kings have performed at major festivals like UFest and have garnered millions of streams. Despite lineup changes, including the departure of guitarists Staig Flynn and Chucky Guzman in 2023, the band continues to evolve and make an impact on the nu metal scene with their energetic performances and innovative sound.ShareRewrite
