DRAMA is a Chicago-based musical duo consisting of producer Na'el Shehade and vocalist/songwriter Via Rosa, known for their innovative blend of R&B and dance-pop. Formed in 2013, the duo emerged from a chance meeting facilitated by vocalist Jean Deaux, leading to a fruitful collaboration that highlights their complementary styles—Shehade's chic house-infused production and Rosa's soulful delivery.
Their debut EP, Gallows, released in 2016, showcased their unique sound, which combines elements of pop, hip-hop, and electronic music. DRAMA's discography includes the acclaimed album Dance Without Me (2020) and the EP Don't Wait Up (2022), both of which have received positive reviews for their emotional depth and danceable beats. The duo has gained recognition for their energetic live performances at major festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza, establishing themselves as a significant presence in the contemporary music scene.
