Derek Austin is a Nashville-based country singer-songwriter who grew up on a farm in Minnesota. After running a dairy operation with his brothers, he moved to Washington for college where he learned to play guitar and started writing songs. Austin then spent time as an air traffic controller in Alaska before ultimately relocating to Nashville to pursue his passion for music. He has released his own music, including the 2021 EP "Barstool Saints" co-produced by Jimmy Robbins and Jonathan Singleton. In addition to his work as an artist, Austin has written songs recorded by major country acts like Tim McGraw, Tyler Chambers, and Jon Wood.
